Susanne Aamund
Susanne Aamund (f. 1943) er et nyt navn i Gallerie Rasmus. Hun er opvokset i Istanbul, hvor hendes far arbejdede. Senere flyttede familien til Wien. Susanne Aamund har altid holdt af at tegne og male. Tilbage i Danmark tog hun på Kunsthåndværkerskolen i København (1961). Herefter har Susanne Aamund bl.a. arbejdet som scenograf på Aalborg Teater og som i en kort periode som assistent for Preben Hornung (1919-1989).
Susanne Aamunds motivverden er eventyragtig og surreel. Mænd og kvinder malet i en naivistisk stil svæver over lærredet. Forskellige dyr dukker fra tid til anden frem i motivet og leder tankerne i retning af Alice i Eventyrland. Dekorative felter med ulæselige ord dækker tit dele af lærredet.
Susanne Aamund er en veletableret kunstner med en lang række soloudstillinger bag sig.
